FragranceFragrance is another word for perfume. It has acquired this name because of its key attribute of delicate scent. Fragrances are used for getting rid of odious smells. They may be even used for religious purposes. Many brands believe the formula of their perfume is to be kept secret. However, others prefer to reveal the key ingredients and percentage of each of the compounds. People have even achieved expertise in manufacturing fragrances, just like wine. Most of the fragrances are made from essential oils, aromatic elements, fixatives and solvents. Ingredients are generally extracts from plants, fatty substance from animals and synthetically made aromatic chemicals. Before the manufacturing process begins, all the ingredients of the perfume are collected from all over the world. They are often hand-picked to exude the best of fragrances. One needs to carefully consider the ingredients of perfumes; this is because, it will help the user to purchase perfume that doesn’t contain ingredients that they may be allergic to. Fragrances can be easily categorised as per their concentration levels, notes of the scent and the family to which they belong. Some perfumes with high concentration may cause injuries to the skin and erode the clothes they are applied on. Families of fragrances are divided into two groups: traditional and modern. Under the traditional category, fragrances are further divided into different sects such as single floral, floral bouquet, ambery, woody, leather, chyper, fougere, etc. The modern family has similar divisions ñ most of them are combinations of traditional sects or include just a minor change. Three fragrance notes, top, middle and base, are segregated as per the evaporating time. Fragrances can be excellently conserved in aluminium bottles or in their original packaging, which needs to be refrigerated between 3-7 degree Celsius. |
