Guerlain is one of the oldest perfume houses in the world. Over a span of 170 years, the company has created some of the world's most admirable and durable fragrances. The House of Guerlain was established in 1828 by Pierre-FranÁois Pascal Guerlain as a perfume store on 42, rue de Rivoli, in Paris. In 1994, the Guerlain House was taken over by the LVMH group, a multinational investment corporation specializing in luxury brands.

Guerlain perfumes often feature the scent of confections. This is due to the presence of common vanilla and amber accord in most of their fragrances. Famous Guerlain fragrance includes the best-selling Shalimar and Samsara, the legendary Jicky, and the Champs-ElysÈes, which is one of the recent additions to it's product line.
