Mac Foundation

MAC, the abbreviation for Makeup Art Cosmetics, is a Toronto, Canada based Cosmetics Company founded in 1985 by Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo. The company has a wide array of beauty products that are claimed to enhance the looks of the user. Their foundation products are very popular. A foundation is basically an item of makeup that forms the first layer applied on the skin, and over which any other makeup is put as desired. The foundation, in general, tends to render the skin with a softer and even texture, akin to applying primer below a coat of paint. Foundations are also reported to be useful to camouflage any skin blemishes.

Numerous foundations are available from MAC for different purposes and people. A smooth pearlescent liquid foundation is claimed by the company to make the skin vibrant and youthful while providing a naturally healthy look. A sun protection factor rating of SPF 15 is supposed to protect the skin from the harmful and darkening effects of the sun. All the foundations are reported by MAC as being easy to apply, smooth blending and providing an efficiently opaque coverage. Some foundations having micro minerals are claimed to reflect light and thus offer a satiny finish to the skin, with a slight luminescence.

Water-based foundations are supposed to be friendlier on the skin and easily washed off. The foundations can either be applied by hand, using a brush or with a stick foundation kit. The ingredients used in the foundation are asserted by the company as suitable for all skin types as well as having negligible chances of allergic reactions. Additionally, MAC says that they are compatible with most overlaying makeup products.
