Back Door

Back door, as the name suggests, is the door at the backside of the house, leading to the patio, garden or backyard. This door is generally made from different materials. However, the material chosen for the back door should be carefully selected, since this door is exposed to various types of weather conditions like rain, snow and sun. A vinyl door or PVC door is one of the perfect choices for the material for constructing a back door. Sometimes, a wooden door is selected to give the house an elegant look. Hardwood, oak, walnut and timber are other common choices of materials for back doors. A carved wooden door definitely has better orientation than a regular PVC door.

A back door can have various styles. A flip-open back door or a sliding back door can be chosen according to the space that is allocated to the door. A sliding door definitely takes lesser space than a flip-open door. Some households prefer to have a folding door, which is sectioned from in between with a pair of hinges. This pattern is usually more contemporary and is followed where the space is less or if the owner does not want to opt for a sliding door.
