Fitted Kitchen

A fitted kitchen consists of a combination of various cabinets and kitchen units. These are generally sold together with kitchens that are newly made and still need to be furnished or for already renovated kitchens. A fitted kitchen is basically designed keeping in mind the standard size of dinnerware and cutlery as well as other kitchen equipments such as microwaves, cooking ranges, ovens, juicers, grinders, etc. These kitchens are designed for various sizes of kitchen rooms ñ a small kitchen room will be judiciously laid out, deriving maximum utility from the space and the units. A fitted kitchen, also called a modular kitchen, is a relatively new concept. These types of kitchens were developed for easy installation and dismantling in case the residents are shifting to a new house. Some fitted kitchen packages may also be customised as per the theme of the house with stylish kitchen cabinet handles and knobs coupled with a glossy finish.

Some of the kitchen units have glass doors for better visibility of the items stored in the unit. With changing times, the style of the kitchen units has changed. Modular kitchens are all-in-one contraptions with cabinets, drawers, washing areas, cooking areas, etc fixed in one unit. Some of the kitchen units are mounted on walls; whereas others are on the ground supporting the platform for cutting and cooking. A fitted kitchen set generally includes the cooking range and a chimney for the comfort of the cook. Lots of fitted kitchens are equipped with advanced gadgets and technology with ball-bearing drawers that are easy to open and close.
