About Tatty Devine

The first meeting of Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine at Chelsea School of Art and their subsequent friendship led to the creation of Tatty Devine in the East End of London in 1999. They produce ranges of invariably striking, often funny and always confident jewellery using materials such as perspex, fabric, leather, enamel and wood. Perhaps their most famous piece is the 'your name' necklace which is available in thirty different colours. It's difficult to categorise Tatty Define jewellery because of its eclectic nature. It's best simply to look through all that's on offer here and see which pieces appeal the most. It might be the dangly earrings in the shape of a pair of fishnet tights. Maybe it's their wooden button on a silver-plated ring which is available in eight striking colours. Birds feature in several pieces such as a trio of black swallows flying on their own necklace. Your attention might be grabbed by a dinosaur or a mermaid, a ghost or a bright party popper. There are many floral touches too such as a marigold perched on a perspex ring or a striking green ivy necklace. Tatty Devine produce a couple of collections a year and it's therefore a good idea to keep coming back to see what else is currently available. Harriet and Rosie have also worked on a wide range of collaborations with pop groups, museums, galleries and other designers. They even created the cake for Selfridges' 100th birthday and have both been awarded MBEs for service to the fashion industry. Whether as a cheer me up gift for yourself or a token for someone special, Tatty Devine is a name to look out for.
