Bluetooth is a wireless interconnectivity protocol, which utilises short range radio frequency waves to allow users or devices f communicate with each other. A Bluetooth network is often termed as a personal area network (PAN), and facilitates exchange of information and data between computing or non-computing devices mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers, digital cameras, and video game consoles. Most Bluetooth car kits are for the above mentioned purpose, however some may also be designed to serve as remote operated controllers for adjusting rear-view mirrors, visors, etc. A Bluetooth car kit for the mobile phone typically comprises of a Bluetooth adaptor, which connects directly to the cigarette lighter of the car or comes with a USB plug, and which is clipped on to the car.
