Nokia 3220

The Nokia 3220 was launched in 2004 and was designed as an upgrade to the Nokia 3200. This Nokia Series 40 mobile phone features a 16-bit (65,536) colour screen with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. The Nokia 3220 has a ’monoblock’ design with front and back covers that are changeable by the user. Its integrated VGA camera supports capturing images in VGA resolution mode as well as recording videos.

This compact GSM phone also features an MP3 player and java support in its operating system. The messaging features in the Nokia 3220 include MMS and SMS as it also supports connecting with GPRS-enabled networks. One can enjoy listening to FM radio that is an inbuilt function of the phone. This phone features a ’Keymat’ with 5 way navigation key for easy navigation of menus. It additionally has an XHTML browser that helps in web browsing.

The Nokia 3220 supports the menu interface customisation using downloadable themes like wallpapers, screensavers, ringing tones and animated MMS sequences. Nokia 3220 supports multiplayer gaming in the bundled game ñ ’Survivor’. Regular single player games like Club Pinball, Dance Delight and Phantom Spider are also a part of standard package. Apart from games, the fun light and sound effects also activate as reminders for missed calls or unread MMS or SMS messages. It also features a USB Pop-port connector as well as a hands-free speaker.
