Nokia 6230With a view to satisfy the growing consumer demand for mobile phones featuring easy to use functions as well as provision for internet access, Nokia introduced the 6230 mobile phone in the fourth quarter of the year 2003. Based on the Nokia Series 40 platform, this mobile phone packed in more features than existing competitors’ products during the years 2003 and 2004. The Nokia 6230 features a 16-bit TFT colour screen that sports a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels, enough to display small images clearly in their natural vibrant colours. The integrated VGA camera supports recording of videos using the H.263 compression format, with a resolution of 128 x 96 pixels (SubQCIF) format. Its video recording functionality comes in pretty handy for occasional video shooting of fun and family clips, which can be stored in its 6 MB internal shared memory. Users can record and store audio/video clips on external flash memory sticks using the in-built MMC card reader. The Nokia 6230 mobile phone also allows the user to enjoy listening to music files encoded in the MP3 and AAC audio compression formats. Its class 10 GPRS and class 10 EDGE modulation ensure a maximum data throughput rate of up to 236.8 kbps. Additionally, it also sports Bluetooth as well as IrDA wireless connectivity that offer seamless connections with handsets supporting these protocols for sharing of audio/video content. Users can browse online for reprogramming the phone by unlocking the restriction codes applied by prominent cellular operators. Accessories like Nokia 6230 battery and Nokia 6230 cover are also available. |
