The Nokia 6230i mobile phone is a high-end camera phone and a successor to the popular 6230 model. It features a 1.3 Megapixel camera, 65,536 colour TFT display with a high resolution of 208 x 208 pixels for sharper text and graphics on-screen. The integrated camera supports recording videos in the 3GPP QCIF video file format for up to one hour, depending on the available memory on the phone. The video recording functionality offers instant capturing of precious movements. The videos and images can be stored on an external Nokia 6230i memory card with the help of the included MMC card slot.

The most significant feature of the 6230i is the walkie-talkie (push-to-talk or PTT) feature that allows users to transmit messages to a PTT group. Navigation is made easy with the simple keypad.
