Nokia e61

The Nokia e61 is a versatile device that combines the features of a mobile phone, digital organizer and pocket computer. Weighing 144 grams and having dimensions 117 x 69.7 x 14 mm, this phone can easily fit into the user’s palm. The phone’s body consists of a 58 x 45 mm, 320 x 240 pixels, 16 million colour TFT screen. Just below this screen are the navigation keys and the QWERTY keypad that eases typing SMSes. Both text and images can be sent with MMS compatibility. The phone supports a miniSD, 64 MB card, with 75 MB shared memory. WCDMA and WLAN enable fast data connectivity over a wide area as well as a local area network. The call features include speakerphone and conference calling facilities. Polyphonic, monophonic, MP3 and true tone ringtones are available.

The phone supports MS Office 97, 2000, XP and 2003 and Adobe Reader. The user can send emails even while talking on the phone. Additionally, even when the network is down, an email message can be composed which can be sent when the network becomes active again. An email LED indicator light is also available with POP3/IMAP email clients. The Nokia e61 uses a WAP 2.0/HTML browser with the Symbian OS 9.1. This phone uses a Li-Po 1500 mAh battery which offers a talktime of 7 hours and a standby time of 260 hours. A device wipe and device lock forms the internal security of the phone, and it also has compatibility with external security such as Pointsec data protection and the Symantec Firewall and anti virus software.
