ADAADA was a rack equipment manufacturer which is now closed. The company was based in America and was one of the world’s leading rack equipment manufacturers, when it suddenly shut shop. ADA was known for its signal processors and guitar amplification systems. The company’s most famous products were the MP-1 and 3TM. The ADA MP-1 guitar amplification unit was launched in the late 1980s. It had 128 different programmable presets and had the following specifications: Bass: +/- 16 dB centre @ 180 Hz Mid: +/-12 dB centre @ 600 Hz Treble: +/- 16 dB centre @ 1.6 kHz Presence: +/- 12 dB centre @ 3 kHz. The Tube Complement sported four stages of gain by means of two, low noise 12AX7A/7025. The MP-1 featured two 1/4 inch phone jacks, one in the front panel and one in the back. The output comprised of single ended 1/4 inch phone jacks and complementary stereo outputs. The 1/4 inch headphone output phone jacks could drive headphones of 600 ohms or more. The ADA 3TM was basically a Three Tube Mod MP-1. New and old/repaired ADA products, MP-1, MP-1 3TM kits and their spare parts and accessories like pedals, batteries and more can be found for sale on many online shopping portals. |
