Aria

Aria Guitars is a Japanese manufacturer of exceptional quality guitars. It was founded by Shiro Arai who is also the president of the company. In 1958, the company used the name Aria for the first time when it exported steel strings fitted Japanese built classical guitars to the South East Asian region. Starting as an importer and exporter of guitars, today, Aria is among the leading manufacturers of high quality guitars. By 1963, Aria launched its first branded electric guitars. Some of the popular models of those times were 1532T and 1802T guitars.

Over a period of time, Aria has produced various innovative high quality guitars such as the Aria Diamond series. Aria Diamond series guitars were hollow body, semi acoustic guitars with imitation diamond embedded into the guitar headstock. Some of the other models which gained fame were the solid body 1962T and R-320. Aria Pro II which is a classical Aria design was released in 1976 with PE-1500 being the first model to be launched. It was well received in the market and featured beautifully carved maple body. SB-1000 was another Aria Pro II model which gained popularity.

The Aria PE series is still available with modifications such as the PE-Extreme and PE-Inspire models. Apart from electric guitars, Aria bass guitars, Aria acoustic guitars and Aria classical guitars are some of the other products manufactured by Aria. The company also produces high end audio electronics and different types of musical instruments such as mandolins and banjos.
