Bass HeadThe bass head is a versatile implement that finds use in bass guitar amplifiers as well as other amplifiers. This device helps in the proper emission of low frequency "drum like" sounds from the speakers. The amplifier heads have varied features that aid in sound amplification without distortion. A Room Balance feature in some bass heads detects the general acoustics in the room and customizes the output accordingly. The bass head’s compressor could have a fixed threshold and an adjustable ratio attribute to maintain a consistent signal without any overloading. A 4-band equalizer places in the user’s hands, further control of the bass and treble tones. A line out facility eases recording with ground lift, pre/post switch and stand-alone level control features. Some heads have a 3-position attenuator switch that allows the high-frequency horn to be judiciously controlled. Considering the rough use the bass head could be subjected to, especially at outdoor concerts, the body of this electronic device is built for strength and durability. A solid wood cabinet is covered in a carpet-like material to enhance the shock-absorbing capability. Additionally, a brushed aluminium control panel ensures that the sheen is maintained for years, coupled with corrosion resistance. The bass head may also have two º inch speakers and one headphone output. A Mute switch having an LED is a handy facility to instantly negate any sound output. Both new and used heads are available, with the used ones being cheaper. |
