CasinoThe Casino is a guitar by Epiphone Musical Instruments. The company was founded by Epi Stathopoulo more than a century back. Some of the innovations by the company include the extension truss rod design, the first pick-up with individual pole pieces and the Tonexpressor. However, the most striking contribution to the making of a guitar is clearly the creation of the first solid body electric guitar, which came about when Les Paul was experimenting in the Epiphone factory in 1941. Some of the musicians known to have played Epiphone instruments include George Van Epps, Harry Volpe, Howard Roberts, Joe Pass, John Lee Hooker, Noel Gallagher and Lenny Kravitz, among others. The instruments were designed keeping in mind different musical styles. The contemporary collections from Epiphone include acoustic, archtop, bass, bluegrass, designer, historical, les paul and masterbilt guitars among other guitars. The Casino is an offering from the Archtop range that comes with chrome hardware featuring a scale of 24.75". The body mat and top are made of lam maple. Other models from the Archtop collection include Alleykat, Dot, Dot Studio, B.B. King Lucille and Broadway. Epiphone offers a wide range of accessories, which include cases and gigbags, instrument cables, picks, straps, wall hangers and guitar straps, among others. The Vintage collection of the company includes many precious resources such as hours of taped and transcribed interviews with renowned Epiphone players, as well as transcribed interviews with the Stathopoulo family. |
