ClavinovaClavinova is a well-known line of digital pianos produced by the Yamaha Corporation. Its design and styling is quite similar to an acoustic piano, but it also has many other features common to other digital pianos. The Yamaha Clavinova line comprises two series of pianos: the CLP series and the CVP series. Both of these are equipped with features like availability of different voices, ability to record song, ability to save songs and more. They incorporate Advance Wave Memory tone generation that uses several samples from real piano to create every note. In addition, the Graded Hammer (GH) effect provides each key with a natural resistance that increases from the key at the top to the key at the bottom. The CLP series of Yamaha Clavinova musical instruments feature clear and pure piano sounds, along with different voices and optional foot pedals and in-built metronome. The features of the CVP series are built along the lines of the CLP's sound and feel, but with a greater variety of voices, built-in rhythms and certain accompaniments. The built-in sequencing software of the CVP series enables the instrument to play and record a complete performance. The CLP series are very famous and include an in-built synthesizer that comprises notes of real instruments, which are later selected and tailored by the electronics to produce the preferred sound. Data is transferred in a MIDI or similar format directly from the keyboard or from a stored source like an external synthesizer or a computer in exactly the same way as in the Yamaha clavinova clp 120. Additionally, it features several voices such as voices from pianos, organs, brass and woodwind instruments and drums. These are suggested voices for beginners and include up to 128 polyphony notes. |
