DiezelFounded in 1994, the Germany-based, Diezel Amplification GmbH, is a world renowned manufacturer of guitar amplifiers. This company had its genesis through the initiative of a Munich-based rock musician, Peter Diezel, who wanted to improve the existing Marshall amplifiers. This led to the creation of a midi-switchable, four channel amplifier. Towards the end of the last millennium when rock and metal music were not the sole genres that ruled the airwaves, a different type of sound system was needed which offered expression for the less heard nuances of the various compositions through the speakers. The Diezel products met this requirement. Following a groundbreaking amplifier launch in 1994, the VH4, the company launched another amplifier, the Herbert, in 2002, named after Peter’s father. This amplifier was stronger than the previous offerings and emitted an innovative sound. In 2005, the Einstein model was launched which had an output rating between 50 and 100 watts. The 2006 saw the release of a standard mid-switcher amplifier, the Columbus, followed by the Schmidt. Besides amplifiers, Diezel also manufactures cabinets and amplifier accessories. The quality of the products can be garnered from the fact that many professional international bands like Mettalica, Gun ’N Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Korn and Buckethead use or used Diezel amplifiers. |
