DigitechDigiTech is an American manufacturer of musical instruments and accessories. The company specialises in the construction of effects pedals and consoles for guitars and basses. DigiTech is perhaps best known for its Whammy pedal, which was a pitchshifting pedal that came with a variety of modes like octave down, octave up, and various harmonizing abilities. The original Whammy, widely considered to be the best, and also much superior to its later updates, was popularised by Tom Morello, Jonny Greenwood, Jack White, and Steve Vai. One exception would be the fourth-generation Whammy, which had a design quiet similar to that of the original Whammy, however it came with improved tracking. DigiTech is also well-revered for its JamMan Looper/Phaser sampler which comes with removable CompactFlash memory to store up to 6.5 hours of audio, which allows you to save up to 99 independent loops at one time. The DigiTech JamMan Looper/Phaser sampler comes with a wide array of features and lets users change the speed of any song without changing its pitch. The current DigiTech product range includes the GSP1101 rack processor, the RP150/250/350 modelling processors, the C8 standard MIDI foot controller, the GeNetX series of multi-modelling processors and the X-Series of single-effect stompboxes, among others. |
