Fender JaguarThe Fender Jaguar is an offering from Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, one of the world’s leading manufacturer of guitars, basses, amplifiers and related equipment. Fender came into existence in the year 1946 and has been a part of music transformation across various genres like rock ’n’ roll, country and western, jazz, rhythm and blues and many others. Some of the acclaimed design classics from Fender include the Telecaster and Stratocaster guitars, Precision and Jazz bass guitars. The Fender Jaguar is an electric guitar that was launched in the year 1962. This guitar became quite a rage with the surf rock groups in the mid 1960’s. The popularity of the guitar resurfaced in the 90’s when it was used by alternative rock bands and grunge bands like Nirvana, Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr. The Jaguar was based on the Jazzmaster, an electric guitar that was first introduced in the year 1958. It featured the same offset waist body design and the floating tremolo system. However, the Jaguar was fitted with a shorter 24-inch scale, 22-fret neck, making it the first Fender guitar to feature 22 frets. The present range of Jaguar include the American Vintage and Special Edition. The American Vintage ’62 Jaguar features classic Fender design. It features brighter pickups with a shorter (24") scale length. The special edition range includes the Jaguar Baritone Special HH and the Jaguar HH. |
