Fender Jazz BassThe Fender Jazz Bass was the second electric bass guitar model created by Leo Fender. The first such model was the Fender Precision Bass. As compared to the Fender Precision bass, the Fender Jazz Bass Guitar was brighter and richer in the midrange tones with decreased emphasis on the fundamental harmonics. The Jazz Bass made its first appearance in 1960, as the Deluxe model. However, on Leo Fender’s observation that the guitar’s redesigned neck would make it more attractive to jazz musicians, the musical instrument was renamed as the Jazz Bass. The Jazz Bass is a solid-body guitar that usually features two pickups, four strings and an adjustable bridge tailpiece. It also has a body built with a 34-inch scale length. Presently, the Fender Jazz Bass guitars encompass the following ranges: American, American Deluxe, American Vintage, Artist, Classic, Custom Artist, Custom Classic, Custom Shop Limited Edition, Highway One and Standard, among others. Product offerings include American Jazz Bass, American Deluxe Jazz Bass, American Deluxe Jazz Bass V (5-String), Frank Bello Signature Bass, Marcus Miller Jazz Bass V, Reggie Hamilton Standard Jazz Bass, and 1960s Jazz Bass. Other products offered by Fender include guitars, acoustics, amplifiers and other related accessories. Some of the acclaimed design classics from Fender include the Telecaster and Stratocaster guitars. Squier products, which are derived from the Fender line of products, are available at affordable rates. |
