Gibson ES

Founded by Orville Gibson in the year 1902, the Gibson Guitar Corporation is a highly successful maker of high-end electric and acoustic guitars. The Les Paul guitar models offered by Gibson are known for their quality and performance. Besides the Les Paul models, other electric guitar series launched by Gibson include the Gibson ES Series, Explorer, SG and Firebird. With its headquarters at Nashville, Tennessee, Gibson also makes a wide range other products such as pianos, drums, amplifiers and accessories.

The Gibson Guitar Corporation incorporated several changes to their guitar designs in the 1930s. This company launched the ES-150, the revolutionary ’Electric Spanish’ guitar model in the year 1936. The ES-150 has been credited with being the first electric guitar that was successful in the market. The ES-150 and ES-200 were played by Charlie Guitar, a renowned guitarist. This led to the increased popularity of the Gibson ES Series and the Gibson brand as a whole. There have also been semi-acoustic models in the ES-series such as the ES-335, which was released in 1958.

The Gibson ES 335 is much sought after by guitarists in the UK. There is also a strong demand for the Gibson ES 135, the Gibson ES 137 and several other models belonging to this series.
