GuildGuild Guitars’ history began since 1952, when it introduced their first guitar, the F-30 Aragon. This was one of the smallest, original flat top guitars available at that time. All models produced had a unique body shape, a spruce top, maple sides and an arched maple back. In 1959, Mahogany was used to manufacture F-30’s back and sides. This model has akin to a trademark of this company and is manufactured even today. This acoustic guitar is especially targeted towards hobby players, who play on the patio, local coffee shops and during campfires. Currently, Guild has also introduced two new features ñ the New Wave-Length pickup and pre-amp with battery access in their D-Star series. Wave-Length is a thin piezo-transducer that produces low-noise and high-input impedance using an 18 volt output. Hence, it provides double the energy to that of a typical 9 volt preamp. Besides, the parent label D-star, also has a Load ’N Lock system that allows the user to insert an AA battery quickly. With quarter turn one can also lock this battery. For additional comfort, the D-star series also integrates easy access volume and tone controls for pickup in the soundhole. Guild Guitars has gifted the vintage look of F-30 to most of its contemporary series featuring the patented Guild Neck Block System. The company is now a division of the popular musical instrument brand, Fender. |
