350DThe term 350D refers to the model number of an 8 MP DSLR camera introduced by Canon in EOS series. The CMOS sensor, DIGIC II processor, smaller body and stylish design form the crux of this 350D model. This was a confident release from Canon indeed, since the company manufactured 130,000 in the first month itself. Moreover, this camera became a part of the photographer’s kit because it could immediately switch on the power, had faster shutter release and shorter black-out time. This allowed professionals to immediately click photographs whenever they wanted. The continuous shooting speed of the camera had increased to 3.0 fps as compared to its predecessor, which had 2.5 fps speed. The buffer of the 350D model is 14 JPEG frames ñ this means that one can click about 14 photographs before the camera slows down. With DIGIC II processor incorporated in the camera the image processing time has decreased. A small 15 x 5 x 8 mm results in lighter equipment. The body looks attractive with matte plastic finish. One can choose from standard colours like black and silver. The options of the camera are easy to navigate and are user friendly. The harder rubber finish of the body gives an ergonomic grip on the camera. Additionally, the Canon 350D is installed with a NB-2LH battery, which is smaller and lighter, compared to most other batteries used in DSLR. |
