Leica Camera AG is an independent manufacturing division of Leica that produces camera-related products, especially designed for photography, hunting lenses or nature watching. The company’s headquarters are located in Solms, Germany. The new products launched in the market include the Leica C-Lux 2, Leica M8 and Leica D-Lux 3. The Leica C-Lux 2 and the Leica D-Lux 3 belong to the compact camera series. The compact series of cameras are stylish and slim: the Leica C-Lux 2 measures only 3.5 x 2" that easily fits into the pocket; whereas the Leica D-Lux 3 has a 2.8" vivid colour screen. With an aspect ratio of 16:9 it displays the result clearly and helps the user to navigate various programmes. The Leica M8 belongs to the M system ñ a range meant for professional photographers. This camera’s CCD sensor has a pathbreaking 10.3 Megapixel resolution. The nature observation section of the company manufactures different types of binoculars, spotting scopes and laser range finders. The two new products offered by this section are Leica Rangemaster CRF 300 and Leica Geovid 15 x 56 BRF. The Rangemaster gives precision readings up to a distance of 800m or 874 yards; whereas the BRF is a high-performance binocular with 15x magnification and is integrated with 1200m rangefinder. The hunting optics division of the company develops innovative optics for discerning hunters. These instruments are invaluable for stand hunting, drive hunting, adventure games, mountain hunting and stalking. /p> |
