Beswick Dogs
Beswick dogs represent a range of miniature, but ’true-to-life’, animals artistically created in ceramic, porcelain and china by the Beswick pottery company. Founded towards the end of the nineteenth century at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, the company began by manufacturing household crockery and other curios. It was towards the middle of the twentieth century that the firm ventured into making animal mouldings. The first ceramic animals produced included championship dogs and race horses.
The Beswick dogs statuettes from the Beswick are created with intricate attentions on details so that they surely brighten the environs of any room in the house. Additionally, these mini figurines make good conversational items too. Some of the dog breeds included in the Beswick dogs range include springer spaniels, boxers, bulldogs, Labradors, Scottish terriers, Alsatians, dachshunds, sheepdogs, Dalmatians, corgi dogs, pugs, English setters, German Shepherds, collies, cocker spaniels, foxhounds and Chihuahuas.
Made with love, these miniature dogs look realistic. The poses as well as the muscle tones are detailed and lifelike. The colouring of the dogs is judiciously done up to add a rational touch to the outer appearance. With a glossy finish, these figurines have the potential to look great on any mantle piece or showcase. Truly, the Beswick dogs are curios that can be placed in any room of the house.
