CelticCeltic Football Club was founded on November 6, 1887 to alleviate poverty in Glasgow's East End parishes. In the first match played on Celtic Park, the team won over Rangers. A year later, they reached the finals of the Scottish Cup but they lost the match with 2-1 against Third Lanark. However, later that year, they brought home the North-Eastern Cup. In 1892, the team finally won the Scottish Cup and their next victory in Scottish League Championship added to their credit. From 1905 to 1910 the club continuously won 6 League Championships. After these prestigious triumphs, it became habitual for the club to win trophies and championships in different seasons. The club also won a couple more cups including the Coronation Cup, the Empire Exhibition Trophy and reached the semi-finals of the European Cup-Winners' Cup. In 2005, the Celtic Football Club team won the Scottish Cup for the 33rd time and the 41st League title in 2007. The club kit, like any other football team, is designed for clear identification. The kit of the Celtic Football Club has three different designs: home colours, away colours and international kits. The home jerseys have horizontal green and white stripes; the socks and shorts are white. The away jerseys have vertical stripes of dark green and black complemented with black coloured shorts and socks. The international away kit designed for 2006/2007 has a vertical green stripe on a white jersey towards the left hand-side of the wearer and is accompanied by white shorts and socks. These jerseys are sold in different sizes for all the Celtic Football Club fans. Other products related to the club enthusiasts include badges and cups. T-shirts are also designed using the Celtic Football Club jerseys as the theme. |
