Newcastle UnitedThe Newcastle United Football club English professional football team was founded in 1892 and is based in the city of ’Newcastle upon Tyne’. This club was formed by the merger of Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End, which were two local clubs. Calling themselves the ’Toon Army’ or ’The Magpies’, the club is the eighth most successful club playing in the Premier League. The current manager of the club is Sam Allardyce. Some of the clubs previous managers include Willie McFaul, Jack Charlton, Sir Bobby Robson and Jim Smith. An English businessman by the name Mike Ashley bought the Hall’s stake in the Newcastle United club on 23rd May, 2007. Newcastle United’s home stadium since 1891 is St James’ Park. This stadium used to have the highest capacity in England with 52,387 seats. The clubs traditional home colours are black and white stripes which has by and large been consistent. The European colours of Newcastle United FC are quite inconsistent like all grey with a black trim, all yellow with black shorts and most recently, sky blue and black.
