Arsenal Tickets

The Arsenal Football Club was founded in 1886 as Dial Square and is a successful English professional football club based in Holloway, north London. The club plays for the Premier League and is the first London club to reach the UEFA Champions League final. They joined the Football League in 1893 and were in the first division in 1904. Arsenal is a member of the G-14 group, an organisation of leading European football clubs.

After facing many financial problems, Arsenal was taken over by Henry Norris in 1910 and moved into a new Arsenal Stadium in Highbury, North London. Herbert Chapman was appointed as the club’s manager in 1925 and he brought Arsenal major success. The club’s other managers include George Allison, Tom Whittaker and Bertie Mee among others. The club’s programme editor Harry Homer, created the modernised crest that featured a cannon, the club’s name put in black letters above the cannon, and a scroll adorned with the club’s newly adopted Latin motto, ’Victoria Concordia Crescit’.

Arsenal played at the Manor Ground in Plumstead for a major part of their time. The Arsenal Stadium, commonly known as Highbury, has been Arsenal’s home from September 1913 until May 2006. The club has its own 60,000-seater stadium at Ashburton Grove. This stadium was renamed as the Emirates Stadium after its sponsors, the airline company Emirates.
