Robbie WilliamsSinger/songwriter Robbie Williams was born Robert Peter Williams on 13th February 1974 in Burslem, England. Born in a Roman Catholic household with Irish ancestry, Williams’ parents divorced when he was four and he was raised by his mother Jan a florist by profession. Robbie’s music career began with the pop band "Take That", which was formed in 1990 in U.K. The band had ten number-one hits in the country with seven of them when Robbie Williams was a part of the band. He left the band in 1995 and started a solo career in 1996. He reached the number two position in the UK Singles Chart when he covered George Michael's track "Freedom" in 1996. Robbie Williams’ debut album as a solo artist was "Life Thru A Lens" released in September 1997. His second album "I've Been Expecting You", was released in late October 1998, and "Millennium" was his first solo number one single in the United Kingdom. His album "The Ego Has Landed" was released in 1999 in the U.S and reached number sixty-three in the Billboard Albums Chart. His third studio album "Sing When You’re Winning" released in August 2000 and became a smash hit around the world.
