Russell Brand

Russell Brand is a famous English actor, comedian, television personality and DJ. He was born on the 4th of July 1975 in England. Russell made his first stand-up appearance in 2000, at the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year, in London. That was when he was noticed by agent John Noel. He also toured the UK for his first grand show ’Shame’. During that period, Russell Brand appeared in an episode of the television show called, ’The Bill’ and also as a VJ on MTV. In 2005, Russell played the character, Tommy in the BBC sitcom ’Blessed’.

Brand played a cross dressing plumber in a sketch for a Little Britain live show for Comic Relief where he performed with friends David Williams and Matt Lucas. At the ’Secret Policeman’s Ball’ in 2006, Russell Brand did a stand-up. In the same year, Brand hosted the a show in Leicester Square which had guests like Uma Thurman, Tom Cruise and Boy George. Brand also hosted a debate show on British digital television channel E4 called ’Russell Brand's Got Issues’. Russell Brand participated in the quiz, ’The Big Fat Quiz of the Year’ in the year 2007, teaming with Noel Fielding to win the quiz gaining 22 points.
