Animal Hospital

Animal Hospital is a TV programme concerning animal welfare. Animal welfare is mainly concerned with the morality of human action or inaction with respect to the treatment of animals, especially owned pets. There is an important animal welfare organisation in England, which is known as the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). Funded by voluntary donations, the RSCPA runs several hospitals for caring and nurturing, sick and injured animals. Animal Hospital was a long-running BBC television show that presented animal welfare tales from many of these RSCPA hospitals.

With a running time of thirty minutes, this show was broadcasted for over a decade from 1994 up to 2004. It was presented by Rolf Harris, a British/Australian television host, painter, musician and composer. Animal Hospital was a reality television show that exhibited veterinary practice in the United Kingdom. There were over forty people involved in the production of this series including the presenters, technical staff, production staff and camera crews.
