Bratz DollsBratz dolls are those 10" dolls produced by the Micro Games of America Entertainment (MGA Entertainment) since mid-2001. They were founded by the toy designer Carter Bryant, who presented his sketches and concept to the CEO of MGA Entertainment, Mr. Isaac Larian and developed this brand of dolls. The first set of bratz dolls comprised four extremely fashion-conscious young girl characters, Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha and Jade, in June 2001. Made of hard and soft vinyl, these dolls feature a lumpy fat head with wide eyes, full lips, a small nose, a short body and snap on and off shoes. Every year Bratz collections adds a "basic" line, plus one or two budget collections, and at least two or three feature collections, whereby each collection introduces new shoe styles, clothes and accessories, to sync with the current trend of fashion. These multi-ethnic dolls portray a complete urban fashion image and cool attitude, admired by most girls between the ages of 9-12 years, which gained strong popularity for the brand, making it number one in several countries, like France, Spain, and Italy, and number two in the United Kingdom. It won many accolades such as Family Fun's Toy of the Year award, TIA People's Choice Toy of the Year Award, Girl Toy of the Year in the United Kingdom and much more. In addition to the dolls, the Bratz line also includes playsets, vehicles, accessories, collectible posters and a series of video games developed by Blitz Games. |
