Brio

BRIO is a Swedish based toy company founded in 1884 by basket-maker Ivar Bengtsson. Ivar started with the business of making and selling a wide range of baskets. Soon he diversified into making toys. He started producing toys with the aim of providing quality and durable playthings for children. By 1908, his three sons took over the company making it a global corporation considered as the biggest producer of wooden toys in the world.
