MinichampsMinichamps is a company that manufactures die-cast models of Formula One (F1) racing cars, street cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses and military vehicles. Founded in 1990, as Paul’s Model Art GmbH in Germany, the car models manufactured by this company are known throughout the world over for their authentic looks of popular cars and bikes. The first Minichamps die-cast model was the Audi V8 in the scale of 1/43: with driver Hans-Joachim Stuck, who was the German Touring Car Champion in 1990. Having officially changed its name to Minichamps GmbH in 1996, Minichamps die-cast models have been well appreciated by car manufacturers like Mercedes Benz, Audi, Porsche and BMW. This has led these car makers to even entrusting Minichamps with the production of their official car replicas. The models rolled out by Minichamps span a huge variety, which includes, Mclaren Mercedes, Porsche 911, Ford Fiesta, Yamaha Fortuna, etc. The Minichamps Mercedes 300 SEL 6.8 AMG won the top award for the readers’ choice of the magazine "Modellfahrzeug" in 2006. The die-cast models from Minichamps are highly detailed, with plastic treads, openable doors and high quality paint.
