Call Of DutyCall of Duty is a fast-paced, action-packed video game using the Quake III engine for portraying superior graphics and visual effects. This first-person shooter video game supports both single-player mode as well as multiplayer modes. Call of Duty was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision and debuted on 29 October, 2003. The voiceover of characters was done by Jason Statham, Giovanni Ribisi and Steven Blum, while the soundtrack of the game was composed by Michael Giacchino. The plot of Call of Duty is based in the backdrop of World War II featuring three allied campaigns, namely British campaign, Soviet campaign and American campaign. The players get to witness the war from the point of view of American soldiers, British soldiers and Soviet soldiers. Call of Duty single-player mode has a unique feature, where the player is accompanied by computer-controlled allies. This makes the video game pretty entertaining and immensely realistic. The games includes various American, British, Russian and German World War II weapons like rifles, submachine guns, side arms and grenades. The game features remarkable scenes and visuals along with amazing sound effects. Call of Duty was well-received by video game players across the world. A sequel, Call of Duty 2 was released in 2005 and later, Call of Duty 3 in 2006. The much anticipated, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is slated for release in fall of 2007. Most Call of Duty sequels have also been developed for consoles. |
