CrackdownCrackdown is a free-form urban action adventure, third person shooter video game created by David Jones, who is also credited with creating numerous other innovative games including the original Grand Theft Auto and Lemmings. Developed by Realtime Worlds and distributed by Microsoft Game Studios, the game was released on the 20th February 2007 for the Xbox 360 console. In the game, players assume the role of Agents, who are superhuman clones. These clones were created by a group of law enforcement organizations, who call themselves as the Agency. The Agents’ are assigned the mission of destroying the organised crime syndicates that control the futuristic metropolis of Pacific City. "Crackdown" allows the players to start a race, which can be played online, with a friend in cooperative mode. It features an extensive mapped out city that makes for a lot of territory that the players need to cover. In this urban landscape, anything can be used as a weapon as long as the players clean up the streets. The game stretches the limit of action-driving hybrid gameplay with the introduction of the first-ever 3-dimensional persistent playground. Several online sites provide extensive Crackdown guides and reviews. These sites also offer Crackdown cheat codes and Crackdown walkthroughs that help the players to easily progress through the game. |
