Destroy All Humans

Destroy All Humans!, created by Pandemic Studios and published by THQ, is a third-person shooter and adventure video game launched for Xbox and PlayStation 2 gaming consoles on June 21, 2005. The game is set in the 1950s with lifestyles, pop culture and politics as existed in the United States. Destroy All Humans! does not contain blood and gore, however, it has been rated T (Teen) by ESRB and 15 by BBFC due to its language and sexual humour.

The plot of the game is as follows. The player is Cryptosporidium 137 (or Crypto), who belongs to Furon, an alien group that has mastered cloning as well as immortality. Crypto invades Earth to extract an ancient piece of DNA from humans so that he can continue cloning his species. The player has an arsenal of weapons and mental abilities to tackle various situations that Crypto comes across. After Crypto defeats the main boss called Silhouette, he mentions other regions on earth besides America. This is the end of part one of the game ’Destroy All Humans!’. A sequel was released with the title ñ ’Destroy All Humans 2’, which is set in the 1969 era with new places such as Bay City (San Francisco, California), Albion (London), Takoshima Island (Japan), Tunguska (USSR) and Moonbase Solaris (Moon). The immensely popular game has been converted into a computer-animated comedy TV show.
