FIFA 2007

FIFA is a popular acronym for FÈdÈration Internationale de Football Association, when translated in English, it means ’The International Federation of Football Associations’. It is a governing body for international football games and tournaments. However, the term FIFA has actually become a synonymous for football or soccer. A popular video game series based on football known as FIFA was first introduced by Electronic Art in 1993. FIFA 2007 version of the game was released in 2006. The game is available for the PC, PS2, GameCube, Xbox, Game Boy Advance, PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS gaming platforms. FIFA 2007 is endorsed with a tagline that reads "This is the season".

FIFA 2007 is released sporting seven different covers. Each of this cover has a different popular football player depending on the region it is marketed. Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) features on the cover of the game sold in the UK. The game allows a gamer to choose from more than 510 teams in 27 leagues from over 10,000 licensed players, across 20 countries. The game is enjoyable as the crowd gives more interactive reactions, i.e. they react to every move of the player. With Manager Mode feature, a user can have a more realistic statistic of the team’s players, thus improving the overall experience of the gameplay. South Korea also has an online version of the FIFA 2007 video game.
