Kingdom Hearts

In 2002, Square Enix launched an action role-playing game, Kingdom Hearts for the Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) game console and entered the cluttered market. So what makes this game so different from the others? One is the presence of several popular Walt Disney characters and the unique mix of hardcore action with a humorous touch to the game, making it interesting for any age and gender. For years the game Kingdom Hearts was acclaimed as one of the best in its category by several awards ñ to extend that it received Sony "Greatest Hits" status and sold more than 5.6 million copies. Sora, the young hero of the game has a challenge to fight against the darkness. While he undertakes the expedition, he is joined by two of the classic characters from Disney: Goofy and Donald Duck.

The player directly takes the control of Sora’s actions; other characters of the game are auto-controlled by the computer. The viewer enjoys a third person camera angle throughout the game play. Like most conventional games, there are levels that need to be crossed with each one getting tougher. At every level, the Kingdom Hearts player gains a new ability that would help him to pass the level. What holds the real attention of the game-player is the customisation of the character that is allowed at the beginning of the game. It also enables the user to choose from the three main attributes: strength, defence and magic. Additional points can be gained by completing the side quests.
