Oblivion or The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a single player role-playing game. This open-ended, fantasy-based game was developed by Bethesda Game Studios. The game was released by Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games. Oblivion is the fourth game in the series of Elder Scrolls video games. Oblivion has been released for video game consoles like PlayStation 3, Windows and Xbox 360. In Europe, the game was released for Windows and Xbox on 24 March, 2006 and for PlayStation 3 on 27 April, 2007. The game has received rave reviews from videogame lovers and critics. Oblivion has also received several awards.

Voiceover of the characters in the game has been done by artists like Patrick Stewart, Lynda Carter, Sean Bean, Terence Stamp, Ralph Cosham and Wes Johnson. The plot of the video game revolves around a former prisoner who is involved in Daedric Lord's plan to overpower the mortal plane. In the game, the gates to kingdom of Oblivion are opened and Daedra are released, resulting in an invasion. The gates of the Oblivion have to be shut forever. The player has to fight off many enemies, monsters and animals. The player can travel anywhere in the world and also has the option of postponing or ignoring the main game storyline for an indefinite period.
