PlayStation 1 is a video game console created by Japanese electronics giant, Sony Computer Entertainment. This video game console was a 32-bit system developed in the mid-1990s. The very first PlayStation made its debut on 9 September, 1995 in United States and 29 September, 1995 in Europe. Since its launch, Sony has launched numerous variants of PlayStation 1. The initial PlayStation video game consoles were made using KSM-440AAM laser unit. The case as well as movable parts was made using plastic. However, the later models featured tray made out of die-cast metal and also the laser units were kept away from the console.
