Pokemon GamesPokemon games is a famous media franchise created by Nintendo, a Japanese multinational. It was developed by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995. This media franchise includes books, anime, movies, CDs, Pokemon games trading cards and toys. However, it is most famous for the Pokemon video games. These role-playing games made their debut in 1996 for the game console, Game Boy. Initially, the Pokemon Game Boy video games had the gamer playing the role of Pokemon Trainer to get hold of more than a hundred Pokemons. Some of the initial games in this series included Pocket Monsters Aka and Midori, Pokemon Red and Blue and more. These Pokemon Nintendo games revolved around catching, fighting and trading Pokemons. Pokemon games of the second generation were launched in 2000 and featured a hundred new species of Pokemons. Some of the other features included day-and-night system, improved inventory system and interface. A few of the games from this generation include Hey You, Pikachu!, Pokemon Gold and Silver and Pokemon Stadium 2. Pokemon third generation was launched in 2003 and it incorporated one hundred thirty-five new Pokemons. Some of the other innovative features included 2-on-2 Pokemon battling mechanics, Pokemon Contest sub-game, better graphics and animation and new region Hoenn. The Games in this generation included Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Pokemon Ranger, Pokemon Colosseum and more. The fourth generation of Pokemon games was launched in 2006 and featured one hundred and seven new species. A few of the features include online multiplayer trading, new Sinnoh region and use of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Pokemon Battle Revolution is a popular fourth generation game. |
